Welcome to the table
Locally produced food has been served at Fredensborg Manor since 1875. Until the 1960s, there was both a gardener and a vegetable garden with various vegetables, strawberries, and potatoes. The manor's caretaker fetched milk from the neighboring farms Tobo and Åkemåla, which also supplied potatoes and meat.
Times changed and locally produced food disappeared, but good food prepared with ingredients from local farms and suppliers has long since returned to the manor house restaurant's menu.
Pre-dinner drinks, dinner, and after-dinner drinks in a variety of settings
During spring, summer, and warm autumn days, you can enjoy an aperitif, a three-course dinner, and coffee with liqueur in the manor park or on one of our verandas.
The restaurant can seat just over a hundred guests, and the beautiful room known as the church—with its preserved ceiling paintings and 19th-century tiled stove—can accommodate six dinner guests.
In our salons in front of the fireplace or in one of the tower rooms with views of the surrounding countryside, you can enjoy an aperitif or coffee with liqueur in a manor house setting. On special occasions, we also serve dinner in both the tower rooms and in the Kajutan down by the lake.
Celebrate Midsummer in an authentic manor house setting
Bring your family, friends, or significant other to Fredensborg. Celebrate Midsummer in the lush,
lakeside, idyllic Swedish summer setting.
Come and enjoy summer life at the manor. Take a stroll through the manor grounds and down to the lake. Be sure to take a rowboat trip to Bockö and a leisurely walk around the island to experience its completely unspoiled nature
before enjoying the manor’s lavish Midsummer buffet in the restaurant.
Music and dancing around the maypole
Bring the kids or just come on your own and experience a traditional Midsummer celebration with jumping and games, music, and dancing around the maypole in Storebro Park (about 3.5 km from Fredensborg).
The festivities begin at 2:30 p.m. and are organized by the Storebro Sports Club.
