Manor house living in the heart of an idyllic natural setting
On a hill overlooking the countryside—in the middle of Småland's idyllic nature, where deep forests, rolling meadows, vast fields, sparkling lakes, and red cottages meet—Fredensborgs Herrgård awaits those seeking peace, tranquility, and memorable nature experiences.

Lush greenery, summer days, and balmy summer evenings
Sunny early summer days with lush greenery and flowers of all colors around the manor house give you lots of energy. Take a short walk along the lake, hike a little further, or just sit down, look out over the countryside, and enjoy the moment.
Summer days filled with sunshine and swimming, fun and games with the children, bright and balmy summer evenings in the manor park or on the jetty down by the lake after a refreshing evening dip in the crystal-clear waters of Gissen leave you wanting more.
Embrace the changing seasons
In autumn, winter, and spring, you will encounter a different kind of manor life at Fredensborg—a calm, peaceful harmony in harmony with the changing seasons.
Meet the sunrise and vibrant autumn colors from the upper tower room. Enjoy the sunset from the manor house veranda or from the jetty down by the lake.
Sneak down to the lake at dawn and experience the misty secret of the lake as it dissipates. Perhaps you could even take a peaceful morning trip by rowboat or canoe to the other side of Bockö – our very own island with completely untouched nature – to experience the mist rising from the water's edge in the forest bay. The same rowing or paddling trip at dusk is just as peaceful.
Snow-covered and icy winter landscapes
Snow-covered winters give you a short walk down to the lake, both a memorable nature experience and new energy.
A walk along the lake in the light of the full moon, with sparkling expanses of snow in the silence of the winter night, is particularly memorable and relaxing.
Spring awakening meadows
In spring, you can relax with a short walk or a longer hike across spring awakening meadows at any time from frosty dawn to starry spring nights. At dawn and dusk, spring birds accompany you all the way.
Experience the most special thing about spring at Fredensborg – a walk through an endless sea of white anemones in the meadows down towards the lake.
Starry evenings and moonlight over the lake
If you look north from the manor house veranda on a starry autumn, winter, or spring evening, you can see the Big Dipper.
If you gaze at the evening sky from the jetty down by the lake and let your eyes slowly adjust to the darkness, they are all there – the Pleiades, Cassiopeia, Orion's Belt, and many more stars of the Milky Way.
On a windless evening when the lake is as smooth as glass, the new moon is reflected in the water before slowly, slowly disappearing among the spruce tops in the northwest.
Particularly memorable are the moments spent waiting for the full moon from one of the reclining chairs on the farm or after a short walk to the northernmost bay of the lake (Tobo Bay). Follow the road to Tobo, turn left before the farm and follow Grönängvägen down the hill to the lake in the south.
Look towards the horizon in the south on the other side of the lake. Also look towards the south-southeast and south-southwest. Sweep your gaze back and forth, again and again, so as not to miss the spectacle. Finally, the horizon brightens and suddenly there is a glimmer between the spruce tops and slowly, slowly, the full moon leaves the spruce tops, rises towards the sky and casts a bridge of glitter across the lake.
