Wedding in Pelarne Church

If you would like a church wedding, we recommend the beautiful and historic wooden church from the 13th century in Pelarne. After the wedding ceremony, rice and confetti on the church hill, and a motorcade of about 10 km through the idyllic Småland countryside with farms and red cottages along the way, the wedding reception awaits at Fredensborg.

Weddings at Fredensborg – in the manor park, on the jetty, or out on Bockö

A wedding ceremony in the lush manor park, on the jetty down by the lake, or out on Bockö—our own island with completely untouched nature—will make your wedding an extra special and memorable day. In autumn and winter, a wedding ceremony in front of the fireplace in one of our salons or in the upper tower room with sweeping views of the surrounding countryside creates an intimate and warm setting for your wedding ceremony.

At Fredensborg, we invite you to a welcoming reception ceremony on the manor house veranda in a style typical of the 1800s, and to a wedding dinner with beautiful table settings and memorable culinary experiences. We also invite you to a wedding reception in our salons, in the tower rooms, out on the verandas or in the manor park, and to dancing with live music long into the night.

Your special day and your evening filled with celebration—framed by the history of the manor house and its embracing surroundings—will unfold at its own pace and take shape in the way you desire.

Choose between an intimate ceremony in a tranquil manor house setting or a real wedding party that lasts until the early hours of the morning, long after you have discreetly retired to one of our manor house suites. Alternatively, invite your wedding guests from near and far to a two or three-day manor house wedding.

Accommodation – book the manor house for an entire wedding weekend

For larger parties, the entire Fredensborg can be booked for weddings or other celebrations, with room for many overnight guests.

The manor house has five cozy rooms, carefully renovated and offering extracomfort, including three double rooms and two mini suites. For those who wish, there are also two larger suites in the same style, with a small, pleasant kitchen area.

The hotel section has 40 double rooms, 20 of which have views of the golf course and Lake Gissen, and 10 superior double rooms with views of the manor park and the lake.

In late autumn, when the leaves have fallen, the lake can be seen between the trees, but when the trees come back into leaf in spring, the foliage obscures the lake from most of the rooms.

Several rooms in both the manor house and the hotel section can be booked as family rooms. Some rooms in the hotel section have a connecting door to the adjacent room and are therefore ideal for families who want more space and two bathrooms . Read more about our accommodation options.
